| Narrative: | On 03/20/2012 The Brooksville Police Department received a report of a grand theft at Melissa's Golf Carts located at 1080 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Brooksville, Fl. The business reported that between the dates of 03/16/2012 and 03/20/2012, approximately 41-used 6 volt golf cart batteries valued at $1,240 and 6-new 6 volt golf cart batteries valued at $900 had been stolen from the business. Further investigation revealed that Moniz was observed with the golf cart batteries in his possession after the theft and that he had sold them for scrap value to a local metal recycler. Moniz was arrested and held at the Hernando County Jail on a $2,000 bond. |
