YOUR AFFIANT PREVIOUSLY CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPED PROBABLE CAUSE FOR A SEARCH WARRANT AFFIDAVIT, WHICH WAS REVIEWED AND SIGNED BY THE HONORABLE JUDGE EINEMAN FOR THE AFOREMENTIONED RESIDENCE. WHILE TACTICAL IMPACT UNIT MEMBERS WERE RESPONDING TO THE RESIDENCE, IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE RED MAZDA PICK UP TRUCK THAT WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVE WAY WAS BEGINNING TO BACK OUT. AS THE TRUCK BEGAN LEAVING IT WAS SOON STOPPED BY DEPUTY SUNDBERG (1268) AND DEPUTY SEFFERN JR (0623). PERSONS IN THE VEHICLE WERE DEFENDANT/DRIVER NICHOLAS PALMER AND DEFENDANT/PASSENGER MATTHEW COKER. THE DEFENDANTS WERE THEN HANDCUFFED AND BROUGHT BACK TO THE RESIDENCE WHERE CONTACT WAS MADE WITH MS. CHARLENE HART. MS. HART WAS STANDING OUTSIDE WHEN UNITS ARRIVED AND ALL PERSONS WERE THEN SEATED UNDER THE CAR PORT AREA. THE RESIDENCE WAS THEN RENDERED SAFE AND SECURE BY MEMBERS OF THE TACTICAL IMPACT UNIT. ALL THE SUBJECTS WERE THEN READ THE SEARCH WARRANT BY YOUR AFFIANT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND THEY WERE ALL READ THEIR MIRANDA WARNING VIA A PRE-PRINTED CARD WHICH DEFENDANT PALMER AND DEFENDANT COKER ADVISED THEY UNDERSTOOD. AT THAT TIME MS. HART BEGAN HAVING AN UNKNOWN HEALTH PROBLEM AT WHICH TIME EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WERE CALL AND ARRIVED ON SCENE. MS HART WAS LATER TRANSPORTED TO TIMBER RIDGE MEDICAL CENTER. I THEN BEGAN A DIGITALLY RECORDED INTERVIEW WITH DEFENDANT PALMER. DURING THIS INTERVIEW DEFENDANT PALMER ADVISED YOUR AFFIANT THAT HE HAS BEEN LIVING AT THIS RESIDENCE FOR APPROXIMATELY 8 OR 9 MONTHS. DEFENDANT PALMER ADVISED YOUR AFFIANT OF THE LOCATION OF WHAT WAS HIS ROOM IN THE RESIDENCE. DEFENDANT PALMER ADVISED THAT IT WAS LOCATED IN THE LEFT REAR CORNER. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SEARCH OF DEFENDANT PALMER’S ROOM BY DEPUTY SUNDBERG, SEVERAL ITEMS OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND TWO SAFES/LOCK BOXES WERE FOUND IN THE ROOM. THE SAFES/LOCK BOXES WERE LATER OPENED AND FOUND TO CONTAIN TWENTY-SEVEN AMPHETAMINE DEXTROAMPHETAMINE 10 MILLIGRAM TABLETS, SIXTY NINE AND A HALF OXYCODONE HYDROCHLORIDE 30 MILLIGRAM TABLETS, ONE METHADONE HYDROCHLORIDE 10 MILLIGRAM TABLET AND ONE BUPRENORPHINE HYDROCHLORIDE 8 MILLIGRAM TABLET, U.S. CURRENCY, 687 GRAMS OF CANNABIS, 6 GRAMS OF CANNABIS WAX, AND 6 GRAMS OF PSILOCYBIN MUSHROOMS. ALSO FOUND IN DEFENDANT PALMER’S ROOM WERE TWO FIREARMS CONSISTING OF ONE RUGER AR-15 RIFLE AND A REVOLVER PISTOL. AFTER ATTEMPTING TO RUN THE SERIAL NUMBER FROM THE FIREARMS THROUGH TELETYPE IF WAS FOUND THAT THE ROSSI 357 MAGNUM MODEL 971 REVOLVER HAD BEEN DEFACED AND THE SERIAL NUMBER HAD BEEN REMOVED. I THEN BEGAN A DIGITALLY RECORDED INTERVIEW WITH DEFENDANT COKER. DURING THIS INTERVIEW DEFENDANT COKER ADVISED YOUR AFFIANT THAT HE LIVES AT THE RESIDENCE WITH HIS MOTHER MS. HART. DEFENDANT COKER ADVISED YOUR AFFIANT THAT HIS ROOM WAS LOCATED IN THE LEFT FRONT CORNER OF THE RESIDENCE. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SEARCH OF DEFENDANT COKER’S ROOM BY DEPUTY SLINGERLAND, A SAFE/LOCK BOX ALONG WITH SEVERAL ITEMS OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA WHERE FOUND. THE SAFE WAS LATER OPENED WHICH CONTAINED 128 GRAMS OF CANNABIS, 2 CANNABIS WAX, AND U.S. CURRENCY. DEFENDANT WAS ALSO IN POSSESSION OF 2 GRAMS OF CANNABIS AND A SMOKING PIPE WHEN FIRST CONTACT WAS MADE BY DEPUTY SUNDBERG. AT THE CONCLUSION OF A TOTAL SEARCH OF THE RESIDENCE THE DEFENDANTS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY BY DEPUTY SANCHEZ FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. ALL ITEMS OF EVIDENTIARY VALUE WERE COLLECTED, PACKAGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AGENCY POLICY, AND TURNED INTO THE CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE EVIDENCE LOCKER BY DEPUTY SEFFERN JR. DEFENDANT PALMER WAS CHARGED WITH 6 COUNT OF POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITH INTENT TO SELL, BOND SET AT $30,000.00, ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF AN ALTERED FIREARM, BOND SET AT $1,000.00, AND ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA, BOND SET AT $1,000.00, FOR A TOTAL BOND FOR DEFENDANT PALMER OF $32,000.00 PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
