| Comments: | WHITTIER, Norman F. was recently released from prison. He was convicted of Rape in the first degree in 1979 and sentenced to approximately 20 years in prison. According to official documents, Whittier assaulted and raped his former girlfriend and assaulted her 13-year-old daughter while he was on parole. The victims went to Whittier's house for dinner. At one point during the evening, Whittier forced both victims into his bedroom. He then tore off the clothes of his former girlfriend. She refused his sexual advances and he proceeded to hit her over the head with a hammer. When the victim's daughter tried to intervene, she was struck over the head several times with the hammer as well. After Whittier raped the victim, he drove them to the hospital where he was subsequently arrested. In 1973, Whittier went to the home of a former girlfriend and stabbed her repeatedly. Prior to the assault, Whittier called the victim and requested permission to come over. The victim denied his request. A 14-year-old witness, who was present inside the home, notified police. Whittier's other criminal history includes theft. Whittier refused to participate in the Sex Offender Treatment Program while he was incarcerated. Whittier denied doing the rapes. His Risk Level Assessment places him in the Level III notification category and he is considered a high risk to re-offend. |
