SUBMITTED BY: DIXON, MEREDYTH 0108 (AR10117707) DID UNLAWFULLY AND INTENTIONALLY THREATEN BY WORD OR ACT TO DO VIOLENCE TO THE PERSON OF THE VICTIM, COUPLED WITH AN APPARENT ABILITY TO CARRY OUT SAID THREAT, AND UTILIZED A DEADLY WEAPON, TO WIT: A MACHETE, WITHOUT THE INTENT TO KILL, AND DID AN ACT OR ACTS WHICH CREATED A WELL-FOUNDED FEAR IN THE VICTIM THAT SUCH VIOLENCE WAS IMMINENT, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 784.021(1)(A). ON 110110 AT APPROXIMATELY 1200 HOURS I RESPONDED TO 4090 EAST PERRY STREET, IN INVERNESS IN REFERENCE TO AN AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. UPON MY ARRIVAL I MADE CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM, MS LINDA DUBE, AND SEVERAL WITNESSES. THE VICTIM STATED THAT SHE WAS INVITED TO SPEND THE NIGHT AT MS THERESA ROZMUS' RESIDENCE AFTER TRICK OR TREATING. THE VICTIM STATED SHE AND THE WITNESS, MS THERESA ROZMUS, WENT TO THE STORE AND WHEN THEY RETURNED TO THE RESIDENCE THERESA BEGAN SPEAKING WITH THE DEFENDANT, MR RAYMOND ROZMUS, ABOUT HOW WELL HE MOPPED THE FLOOR. THE DEFENDANT THEN WALKED INTO THE BEDROOM AND WHEN HE CAME BACK OUT HE HAD A MACHETE IN ONE HAND AND A CAN OF MACE IN THE OTHER. THE DEFENDANT BEGAN TO THREATENING HER AND OTHERS INSIDE OF THE RESIDENCE BY SWINGING THE MACHETE. THE DEFENDANT STATED HE HAD JUST SHARPENED THE MACHETE AND HE WAS GOING TO KILL THEM IF THEY DID NOT LEAVE THE RESIDENCE. THE VICTIM WAS ASKED WHAT CAUSED THE DEFENDANT TO ACT THIS WAY AND SHE STATED SHE HAD NO IDEA. THE VICTIM STATED AT THAT TIME, THE WITNESS, WHO IS THE DEFENDANT'S SISTER-IN-LAW CONTACTED 911. THE VICTIM STATED THAT THE DEFENDANT RETURNED TO HIS BEDROOM LEAVING THE MACHETE IN THE BEDROOM AND PLACING THE MACE IN HIS POCKET. THE VICTIM STATED THE DEFENDANT LEFT AND WENT ACROSS TO THE NEIGHBOR'S RESIDENCE. I SPOKE WITH THE WITNESS WHO STATED SHE HAD INVITED A COUPLE OF THEIR FRIENDS TO SPEND THE NIGHT AND THAT HER BROTHER-IN-LAW AGREED THEY COULD SPEND THE NIGHT. THEY GOT UP EARLY TO GO OUT AND WHEN THEY RETURNED THE VICTIM TOLD THE DEFENDANT HE HAD DONE A GOOD JOB MOPPING THE FLOOR. THE WITNESS STATED THAT THE DEFENDANT WENT INTO THE BEDROOM AND BECAME VERY ANGRY AND CAME OUT OF THE BEDROOM WITH THE MACHETE AND THREATENED TO KILL EVERYONE AND WOULD SPRAY THEM IN THE FACE. THE WITNESS FURTHER STATED SHE LEFT THE RESIDENCE AFTER SHE TOLD THE DEFENDANT SHE CONTACTED THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE I THEN SPOKE WITH THE DEFENDANT WHO ADVISED THAT HIS SISTER-IN-LAW HAD INVITED SOME UNWANTED GUESTS TO THE RESIDENCE AND THEY HAD BEEN THERE FOR FOUR DAYS AND WOULD NOT LEAVE. THE DEFENDANT STATED HE BECAME VERY ANGRY BECAUSE HIS SISTER-IN-LAW DEGRADED HIM BY CALLING HIM A FAT ORCA. THE DEFENDANT FURTHER STATED HE NEVER PULLED OUT A MACHETE. THE DEFENDANT WAS THEN ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY. THE DEFENDANT WAS NOT HANDCUFFED DUE TO HIS SIZE. ALL WEAPONS WERE COLLECTED AND PLACED IN TO EVIDENCE. THE DEFENDANT'S BOND WAS SET AT $5,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BOND SCHEDULE.
