| Narrative: | On 12/11/2012 between the above listed times, an unknown subject stole a City owned van which was locked and parked at the Jerome Brown Center. As the investigation continued, Canterbury was identified as a person of interest. When officers responded to his residence, they observed interior parts and seats which were identified as coming from within the stolen vehicle. During an interview, Canterbury implicated his involvement with the operation (driving), dismantling, and the repainting of the stolen van. He however denied stealing the vehicle. Another individual advised investigators that Canterbury was alone responsible for the theft and lead officers to where the vehicle was recovered. Canterbury was charged with the above listed offenses and is being held at the Hernando County Jain on $3,000.00. |
