Once inside they commitTed the crime of Grand Theft by removing or attempting to remove a combined total of $362.0, (Three Hundred and sixty-two dollars and one cent) of meat, with the intent to deprive the victims of such meat and value of the meat. Both of these thefts occurRed within 48 hours of each other, in violation of FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 812.015(8)(B); AND The defendants did: endeavor to deal in stolen property, To Wit: $362.01(Three Hundred and Sixty-two dollars and one cent) worth of meat. FuRthermore, the four defendants initIated, organized and planned the theft of the stolen Property, to wit: (Meat) in violation of FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 812.019. On 111613, I responded to the area of 2628 Woodview aveNUE in Lecanto, in reference to Deputy Dearden had a vehicle stopped that had stolen meat in it. Upon arrival, Deputy Dearden advised that he was in the area looking for the vehicle, which had reportEDly just stolen meat from the Publix Supermarket located at 2685 NORTH Forest Ridge BOULEVARD IN Hernando, Florida. Deputy Dearden Further advised that he also located in plain sight, meat that he believed was stolen from the Sweetbay Supermarket located at 1202 West Main stREET IN Inverness, Florida. I then noticed that the four defendants were sitting under the overhanG of the structure of the above address. I then asked to speak to Defendant, MR Richard MilaM. Defendant MilaM was read his Miranda warnings off aN agency Miranda card. The defendant, during a post Miranda digitally recorded interview, stated that he, along with the other three defendants went to SweetBay Supermarket where the other three defendants entered the store and removed MEAT from the store. The amount of the meat that was removed totaled $215.18. Defendant MilaM then stated they drove to Publix on Forest Ridge BOULEVARD. Once there, he stated he stayed in the VEHICLE while the other three defendants entered the store. He stated during the interview that he was guilty because he knew that the co-defendants were stealing meat, especially after they returned to the VEHICLE from Sweetbay with a large amount of meat. I then concluded the interview with defendant MilaM. I then conducted a Post Miranda digitally recorded interview with defendant, MS Janell Dore. Ms Dore initIally stated that she never entered a store, but later changed her story that she entered the store to act aS A dIversion in case someone was caught. HOWEVER, stated she never actually stolen any of the items. After conducting both Interviews, Defendants Milan and Dore were advised they were being placed under arrest. Defendant Dore was Handcuffed behind her back (double-Locked) and transported to the CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY. Defendant MilaM, due to mediCal issues was handcuffed in front (Double-Locked) and transported to the CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY by Deputy Hunter who had previously transported defendants Brosey and Tate. I later responded to each store and reviewed the stores video surveIllAnce of the defendants in the store. In each video you can clearly see defendants Dore, Tate, and Brosey entering the store and leaving without paying for any merchandise. I then responded to the Citrus County DETENTION FACILITY where Defendant Tate and Defendant BROSEY were already transported to. Once there, during a post Miranda recorded interview, Defendant Tate stopped the interview by invoking his right to remain silent. I then conducted a post Miranda digitally recorded interview with defendant Brosey. During the interview, inITIALLY defendant Brosey denied stealing anything; HOWEVER, later changed her story that she did in fact entered the store and removed meat without paying for such meat. She further admitted to driving the vehicle after leaving the Publix on Forest Ridge because Defendant MilaM was afraid to get caught driving. ALL DEFENDANTS WERE CHARGED WITH FELONY RETAIL THEFT AND DEALING IN STOLE PROPERTY. DEFENDANT MILAM WAS RELEASED ON HIS OWN RECOGNIZANCE. DEFENDANTS DORE, TATE AND BROSEY WERE CHARGED with the SAME WITH A TOTAL BOND OF $12,000.00 EACH, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
