| Comments: | According to official documents Kron was convicted of two counts of Child Molestation 1st degree on 06/17/1992. He served a prison sentence and he served the entire sentence. The victim in this case was a 3 year old male relative. Kron admits sexually assaulting at least eight children, both male and female, who were between the ages of 3 and 7. All of Kron?s victims were children of relatives, or people he befriended in order to gain unrestricted access to their children. Kron manipulated his victims into trusting him by buying them gifts and taking them on special outings. He went to great lengths to deceive the parents of his victims. Kron typically conned his victims? parents into trusting him to be alone with their children by giving them money and buying them food and alcohol. Kron said he would spend time with the children when their parents would not. Kron targeted and preyed on welfare or low income families he befriended. He groomed the families of his victims by providing them with whatever they wanted. At one point this included buying furniture for one family to ingratiate himself into their home to have easy access to their children. Kron pursued a transient lifestyle, essentially drifting around and moving every three to six months on average. Kron noted that if the victim?s parents became suspicious or told him to leave their children alone, he would disappear. Kron participated in treatment at the Sex Offender Treatment Program at Twin Rivers Correctional Center. His primary therapist felt that ?his fixed sexual attraction to children, and the depth and pervasiveness of his distorted thoughts concerning sexual assaults on children, seem unchanged by treatment.? Kron?s entire sexual interest remains focused on children from 3 to 10 years of age. His treatment team assessed him as a high risk to re-offend. Kron is not on active supervision and therefore has no conditions other than to register as a sex offender. |
