| Comments: | Robert L. MARSH'S sex offense history includes three separate sex related offenses dating back to 1990. In the first offense MARSH attacked a 59-year-old Pierce County woman in her apartment. MARSH had been employed by the victim off and on to do odd jobs around her apartment MARSH attacked the woman while she was lying on the couch in her apartment by placing one hand on her mouth and the other around her throat. He began choking her until she began to loose consciousness, at which time he attempted to sexually assault her. MARSH was convicted of Attempt Indecent Liberties on 9/11/1990 in Pierce County Superior Court. Four months after his release from prison on December 27, 1991, MARSH was arrested for inappopriately touching an 8 year old male child. The Pierce County Prosecutor's Office declined to file charges in this case. In the third offense MARSH was convicted of Rape 3rd degree. This offence occurred in Pierce County on March 15, 1995. MARSH knew the victim and the victim's mother in this case as he had done yard work for the victim's mother in the past. MARSH had permission to stay at the victim's house with specific instructions to sleep on the couch. On the second night MARSH stayed at the residence he entered the victims bedroom where he fondled her and digitally raped her. The victim in this case was wheelchair bound. MARSH's victims have ranged in age from 8-59. The choking of his elderly victim, almost to unconsciousness, is of great concern regarding future offense behavior. MARSH may also attempt to make himself appear disabled to manipulate victims or authorities. Should MARSH choose to re-offend, he may continue to seek out male or female victims who are easily accessible to him through age, disability and by virtue of their trust. MARSH in an untreated sex offender and may be at a high risk for re-offense. |
