| Comments: | In 1995 Ronald J. CLAYTON was convicted of Rape first degree and Assault first degree in Pierce County, WA. Official documents indicate CLAYTON (age 16) sexually assaulted an unknown adult female. The victim resided next door to CLAYTON, but she had never met him prior to the date of the offense. The victim reported that on 5/28/1995 at approximately 11 p.m., an unknown male (later identified as CLAYTON) knocked on her front door. When the victim opened the door, CLAYTON pointed a handgun at her and entered her residence. CLAYTON told the victim to undress and then sexually assaulted her. CLAYTON then made the victim lay face down while he taped her hands together behind her back. CLAYTON ransacked the victim's apartment and took various items including money. CLAYTON told the victim he wanted to go for a ride and the victim told him he could take her truck and leave; however, he became very angry that she would not cooperate and leave with him. CLAYTON took a cable cord from the television and attempted to strangle the victim with it. CLAYTON told the victim he was going to kill her because she would not go with him. The victim finally told CLAYTON she would go with him, at which time he stopped strangling her. CLAYTON told the victim to get dressed, and he led her out of the residence at gunpoint. The victim took the opportunity to run to a neighbor's residence, where she was allowed inside and the police were called. For this offense behavior CLAYTON was originally charged with Rape 1st degree, Attempted Murder 1st degree and Burglary 1st degree. The charges were later amended and CLAYTON pled guilty to Rape 1st degree and Assault 1st degree and was sentenced to 123 months confinement. CLAYTON's other criminal history includes juvenile convictions for Burglary 1st degree (1993), Assault 2nd degree (1993) and Burglary 2nd degree (1993).
