Probable cause affidavit: | SUBMITTED BY: GREATREX/0287 (2017-25432) (AR17-22795) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN, USE OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, TO-WIT: A BLACK IN COLOR 16â UTILITY TRAILER, OF THE VALUE OF THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) OR MORE, BUT LESS THAN FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00), WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO HIS OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATUTE, 812.014(2)(C)(1). ON 021917, AT APPROXIMATELY 1200 HOURS, DEPUTY MARSHALL (1336) MADE CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM, MR. JEFFERY KINNARD, TO REPORT THE THEFT OF HIS 2003 E-Z PULL 16â UTILITY TRAILER AND THE FLORIDA LICENSE PLATE 8249JY. THE VICTIM STATED THAT HE ALLOWED A CLOSE FRIEND OF HIS THE USE OF THE TRAILER ON 021817 AND ON TODAYS DATE (021917), IT WAS DISCOVERED MISSING. THE VICTIM REPORTED THAT AFTER HIS FRIEND USED THE TRAILER, HE PARKED IT BEHIND HIS BUSINESS AT 130 HEIGHTS AVENUE, IN INVERNESS, TO USE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VICTIM STATED AT THIS TIME, HE DID NOT KNOW WHO TOOK THE TRAILER OR WHERE IT WAS. UPON DEPUTY MARSHALL COMPLETING HIS REPORT DETECTIVE CUTLIP (0721) DISCOVERED VIDEO SURVEILLANCE OF THE SUSPECTâS VEHICLE THAT TOOK THE TRAILER. DETECTIVE CUTLIP WAS LATER ABLE TO IDENTIFY MR. RYAN H. ROGERS AS THE SUSPECT. ON 022417 AT APPROXIMATELY 1900 HOURS, K-9 DEPUTY WILLIAMS (0730) IDENTIFIED THE SUSPECT AND HIS VEHICLE AT 4083 NORTH LECANTO HIGHWAY, IN BEVERLY HILLS. THIS DETECTIVE, AT THAT TIME WAS CONTACTED AND I RESPONDED TO THIS LOCATION. UPON ARRIVING, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE SUSPECT MR. RYAN H. ROGERS AND INTRODUCED MYSELF. I ADVISED THE SUSPECT THAT I WAS INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF THE VICTIMâS TRAILER AND HE WAS A SUSPECT. THE SUSPECT AT THAT TIME WAS VERY COOPERATIVE AND ADMITTED TO THE THEFT OF THE VICTIMâS PROPERTY. THE DEFENDANT WAS AT THAT TIME ADVISED THAT HE WAS UNDER ARREST FOR GRAND THEFT. THE DEFENDANT WAS THEN HAND CUFFED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY JAIL WHERE HE WAS BOOKED IN FOR ONE COUNT OF GRAND THEFT WITH A BOND OF $2000.00 PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
