| Comments: | According to official documents Matilla pled guilty in Snohomish County Superior Court on 09/07/2006 to one count of Third Degree Rape. He was sentenced to 12 months in county jail. It was also ordered that a portion of that sentence could be served in work release. This conviction is the result of Matilla sexually assaulting the unknown 23 year old female victim. Matilla met the victim in the parking lot of a drinking establishment on the night of the sexual assault. Matilla and another male asked the victim to give them a ride home. When they arrived at his home, the victim was stopped by police and told that she should not drive as she had been drinking. Matilla told the victim she could sleep in his room and he would sleep elsewhere in the residence. The victim awoke during the night to Matilla ripping her shirt off of her. She told him to stop but he continued, and sexually assaulted her. Matilla is no longer on supervision. |
