| Narrative: | Officers of the Brooksville Police Department were conducting traffic enforcement on Howell Ave when they observed a seat belt violation. A traffic stop was then conducted on the brown Dodge pickup driven by the defendant. When asked for his drivers license the defendant told officers that is was suspended. A records check confirmed that it was suspended for failing to pay child support and traffic fines. The defendant was placed under arrest and his vehicle was impounded. An inventory search was conducted before towing it to the police Department for storage. During the search several cigarette packs were found containing small amounts of methamphetamine and straws used for snorting. A total of 1.9 grams of methamphetamine was found. He was transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is held on $12,500 bond. |
