| Narrative: | Officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to two local pharmacies in reference to the defendant uttering forged prescriptions. On 9/17 the defendant was successful in obtaining 60 oxycodones from the CVS on Cortez Blvd with a forged prescription. It was not discovered that the prescription was fraudulent until days later. The next day on 9/18 the defendant went to the Walmart on S. Broad St. and again presented a forged prescription. This time it was not filled and it discovered that the prescriptions were stolen. Video surveillance at both locations confirmed the defendants identity. Officers were unable to make contact with the defendant so warrants were being prepared. On 9/20 at 1510 hrs the defendant was located and arrested at the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union on charges stemming from a separate incident. He was additionally charged with the fraudulent prescriptions and transported to the Hernando County Jail. |
