| Probable cause affidavit: | Unlawfully obtain the property, namely bedding and alcoholic beverages, of another, Wal-Mart, with the intent to deprive Wal-Mart of said property, which had a value of $166; to wit: On 08/20/15, I was dispatched to the Inverness Wal-Mart in reference to a shoplifter in custody. I made contact with the complainant, who stated he observed the defendant place bedding and alcoholic beverages in a shopping cart. He followed the defendant as he went past all points of sale and went into the lobby at the west end of the store. He was apprehended as he began to exit the doors. The complainant provided me a DVD of the defendantâs actions. The defendant stated to me that he had left his wallet and was going to get it as he had a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. The value of the items stolen was $166. He was arrested, double-locked handcuffed behind his back and transported to the county jail, without incident, where he was held in lieu of $500 bond. |
