| Narrative: | On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to the police station in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the two victims who advised that they were at the Pickled Parrot Bar in Spring Hill when they got into an argument with Shawn Patel, whom they both know from prior encounters. They left the bar and were traveling on Cortez Blvd. near Candlelight Blvd. when they observed Patel driving next to them in a grey Impala. The victim that was in the front passenger seat observed Patel point something out of the window of the vehicle and then heard two gunshots. They pulled onto Candlelight Blvd to get away and Patel continued East on Cortez Blvd. possibly heading to Sumter County. They drove to the police department to notify police. No one in the vehicle was shot but a bullet hole was located in the rear passenger door of the victims’ vehicle. Investigation revealed the bullet disintegrated in the door and did not enter the passenger compartment. BPD and Hernando Sheriff’s Office units searched for Patel but he was not located. A warrant will be prepared for Patel’s arrest. |
