SUBMITTED BY: WILLIAMS, JUSTIN 0730 (AR13-7115) DID UNLAWFULLY COMMIT BATTERY UPON THE VICTIM BY ACTUALLY AND INTENTIONALLY TOUCHING OR STRIKING SAID PERSON AGAINST SAID PERSON'S WILL, OR BY INTENTIONALLY CAUSING BODILY HARM, TO WIT: THREW A PLATFORM HIGH HEEL SHOE AT THE VICTIM CAUSING A LACERATION OVER THE RIGHT EYE, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 784.03(1)(A)(1). ON 083113, AT APPROXIMATELY 2032 HOURS, I RESPONDED TO 8720 EAST MOONRISE LANE, APARTMENT 5B, IN FLORAL CITY, IN REFERENCE TO A POSSIBLE PHYSICAL DISTURBANCE. WHILE EN ROUTE, DISPATCH ADVISED THAT THEY RECEIVED A 911 CALL FROM THIS RESIDENCE WHERE THE COMPLAINANT STATED âSTOP GET OFF MEâ AND THEN HUNG UP THE PHONE. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM, MS KRYSTA-LYNN LA CALANDRA, WHO ADVISED THAT THE DEFENDANT, MS SHAZEEDA MILLS, HAD CONFRONTED HER INSIDE THE RESIDENCE, DUE TO THE VICTIM OWING THE DEFENDANT $30.00. THE VICTIM ADVISED THAT THE DEFENDANT GOT UPSET WITH HER AND SHE REMOVED ONE OF HER BLACK OPEN TOED PLATFORM HEELS AND THREW IT AT THE VICTIM, STRIKING HER OVER THE RIGHT EYE CAUSING A LACERATION. I OBSERVED AN APPROXIMATELY ¾ INCH LONG LACERATION OVER THE VICTIM'S RIGHT EYE. I THEN MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT, SHE ADVISED THAT SHE DID NOT KNOW WHY LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS OUT THERE AND SHE DID NOT DOD ANYTHING. I THEN MADE CONTACT WITH THE WITNESS/TENANT OF THE RESIDENCE, MS DIANA WESTERBERG. SHE ADVISED THAT THE VICTIM AND THE DEFENDANT WERE THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE INSIDE OF THE APARTMENT AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THE WITNESS ADVISED THAT SHE HEARD A COMMOTION, ALONG WITH SOME YELLING AND SCREAMING INSIDE OF THE APARTMENT HOWEVER BY THE TIME SHE WENT INSIDE, THE INCIDENT WAS ALREADY OVER. THE WITNESS ADVISED THAT SHE OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT STANDING INSIDE OF THE APARTMENT AND THE VICTIM HAD ALREADY RAN INTO THE BACK BEDROOM. I THEN ASKED THE DEFENDANT IF SHE WOULD SHOW ME HER SHOES, AT WHICH TIME SHE COMPLIED. HER SHOES APPEARED TO BE THE ONES DESCRIBED BY THE VICTIM. EMS MEDIC 123 RESPONDED TO THE SCENE AND TRANSPORTED THE VICTIM TO CITRUS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, DUE TO HER REQUIRING STITCHES. DEPUTY CREEL RESPONDED TO CITRUS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TO PHOTOGRAPH THE VICTIM'S INJURIES AND TO OBTAIN A SWORN WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM THE VICTIM. THE DEFENDANT WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR BATTERY, HANDCUFFED, (DOUBLE LOCKED), BEHIND HER BACK, SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING.
