Narrative: Brooksville Police officers were dispatched to Dollar General located at 856 S. Broad Street reference a retail theft. Upon arrival officer’s made contact with Dollar General’s loss prevention personnel who stated the defendant SHONITA LASHAUN NATHAN was observed selecting a 3 pack of men’s shirts then walking over to customer service and requesting a refund for the very same pack of shirts. NATHAN was given a $23.75 store credit card and departed. When Dollar General realized the mistake they called the police. As the officer was taking the original report NATHAN was observed reentering the store and was arrested as she attempted to make a purchase utilizing the fraudulently obtained “refund” credit card. NATHAN was transported to the Hernando County Detention Facility without incident. NATHAN is being held on a $1000 dollar bond.
