Personal Details

Date of birth: Dec 16, 1963
Probable cause affidavit: SUBMITTED BY: RAMOS, ROBALDO 0515\t DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY TAKE, OBTAIN OR USE OR ENDEAVOR TO TAKE, OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF WALMART, TO WIT: CONCEALED ELECTRONICS, TOYS AND CLOTHES IN HER PURSE CARRYING AWAY THE SAID MERCHANDISE, WITH INTENT TO TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE, A MERCHANT, OF THE POSSESSION, USE, BENEFIT, OR FULL RETAIL VALUE OF SAID PROPERTY, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF MORE THAN $300.00 BUT LESS THAN $5,000.00, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTES 812.015(8). ON 112913, WHILE CONDUCTING A SECURITY CHECK ON FOOT INSIDE OF THE WALMART, I WAS APPROACHING THE GROCERY SIDE EXIT WHEN I NOTICED THE LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER, MR PATRICK HENRY, AND THE STORE MANAGER ATTEMPTING TO STOP A FEMALE, LATER IDENTIFIED AS THE DEFENDANT, MS STACY CASTILLIEJA. AT THAT TIME, THEY FLAGGED ME DOWN TO COME AND ASSIST THEM. AS I MADE CONTACT, THEY ADVISED THAT THEY WERE DETAINING THE DEFENDANT, DUE TO SHOPLIFTING ITEMS WERE INSIDE HER PURSE. ONCE INSIDE THE LOSS PREVENTION OFFICE, MR HENRY PROVIDED ME WITH A SWORN WRITTEN STATEMENT WHICH ADVISED THAT HE OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT DISPLAYING SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR THROUGH OUT THE STORE. AS SHE WAS WALKING THROUGH THE STORE, SHE WAS SELECTING MERCHANDISE AND CONCEALING IT IN HER PURSE. HE CONTINUED TO CONDUCT FLOOR SURVEILLANCE, WATCHING HER LEAVE THROUGH THE GROCERY SIDE EXIT OF THE STORE, PASSING ALL POINTS OF SALE WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO PAY FOR THE ITEMS IN HER PURSE. AT THAT TIME, HE STOPPED HER AT THE EXIT AND DETAINED HER. HIS STATEMENT WAS COLLECTED AND WILL LATER BE TURNED IN TO RECORDS. I THEN READ THE DEFENDANT MIRANDA RIGHTS VIA PREPRINTED AGENCY CARD AND ASKED IF SHE UNDERSTOOD HIS RIGHTS, AT WHICH TIME SHE WAIVED HER RIGHTS AND ADVISED THAT SHE WAS WILLING TO SPEAK WITH ME. THE DEFENDANT THEN ADVISED THAT EVERYTHING THE OFFICER STATED WAS TRUE AND SHE COULD NOT DENY IT. I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN A STORE RECEIPT WHERE THE 25 ITEMS TOTALED $332.35. THE ITEMS WERE RETURNED TO THE STORE AND A PROPERTY RECEIPT WAS COMPLETED. SEE CRIME SCENE TECHNICIAN REPORT IN REFERENCE TO PHOTOGRAPHS. THE DEFENDANT WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST, HANDCUFFED, (DOUBLE LOCKED), BEHIND HER BACK, SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. THE DEFENDANT'S BOND WAS SET AT $5,000.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
