SUBMITTED BY: TEWELL, MICHELLE 0535 (AR11119863) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN OR USE, OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, BEALL'S OUTLET, TO WIT: TWO PAIRS OF SHOES AND MISCELLANEOUS CLOTHING ITEMS, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF $85.92, WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO HER OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTES 812.014(3)(a). ON 032111 I WAS DISPATCHED TO BEALL'S OUTLET LOCATED AT 223 EAST HIGHLANDS BOULEVARD IN INVERNESS IN REFERENCE TO A SHOPLIFTER IN CUSTODY. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE COMPLAINANT/STORE EMPLOYEE, MR ROY CUNNINGHAM, WHO ADVISED THAT HE OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT THROUGH the SECURITY CAMERAS WALK AROUND THE STORE WITH HER INFANT DAUGHTER ALSO IN HER POSSESSION WAS A LARGE ZEBRA STRIPPED HANDBAG. SHE PLACED SEVERAL ITEMS IN A SHOPPING CART AS SHE WALKED AROUND THE STORE. A SHORT TIME LATER THE DEFENDANT WALKED OVER TO THE FITTING ROOMS WITH THE MERCHANDISE AND THE ZEBRA HANDBAG. SHE EXITED the FITTING ROOM, LEFT TWO ITEMS INSIDE THE SHOPPING CART AND PROCEEDED TO WALK STRAIGHT TO THE FRONT OF THE STORE, PASSED ALL POINTS OF PAYMENT AND THEN EXITED THE STORE. the COMPLAINANT THEN APPROACHED THE DEFENDANT OUTSIDE THE STORE AND IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS AN EMPLOYEE WITH LOSS PREVENTION. THE DEFENDANT BEGAN TO VERBALLY RESIST THE COMPLAINANT BY REFUSING TO IDENTIFY HERSELF OR PROVIDE IDENTIFICATION. SHE THEN HANDED HER INFANT DAUGHTER TO HER AUNT WHO WAS WAITING OUTSIDE THE STORE IN A VEHICLE. the DEFENDANT CONTINUED TO RESIST THE COMPLAINANT VERBALLY AND TRIED TO PUSH PAST HIM TO HER CAR. THE COMPLAINANT THEN ESCORTED THE DEFENDANT TO THE LOSS PREVENTION OFFICE AND CONTACTED THE CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. THE COMPLAINANT OPENED THE COMPLAINANT'S ZEBRA HANDBAG AND IT CONTAINED A PAIR OF BLACK REBOK TENNIS SHOES VALUED AT $29.99, GROOVE SILVER SANDALS VALUED AT $14.99, A 5-PACK LITTLE PRINCESS UNDERWEAR SIZE 6 VALUED AT $3.99, A 10-PACK CUTE CHILDS UNDERWEAR SIZE SIX VALUED AT $5.99, ONE PLASTIC DISNEY BABY BOTTLE VALUED AT $1.99, ONE PAIR OF FADED GLORY SHORTS SIZE 6 VALUED AT $7.99, ONE NIKE SHIRT SIZE 6 VALUED AT $5.99 AND A PAIR OF BLACK LOOK AT ME PANTS SIZE 7-8 VALUED AT $14.99. TOTAL MERCHANDISE $85.92. A PROPERTY RECEIPT WAS COMPLETED AND THE MERCHANDISE WAS RETURNED TO THE COMPLAINANT. THE DEFENDANT WAS TRESPASS WARNED FROM THE STORE IN THE PRESENCE OF THIS DEPUTY BY the COMPLAINANT. THE DEFENDANT WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST, HANDCUFFED, BEHIND HER BACK, (DOUBLE LOCKED), SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. AS I WAS ESCORTING THE DEFENDANT TO MY PATROL VEHICLE, SHE SPONTANEOUSLY STATED "I'M SORRY FOR STEALING" TO THE COMPLAINANT. THE DEFENDANT'S BOND WAS SET AT $250.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE.
