| Comments: | In 1999 BELL was convicted in Lewis County Superior Court of two separate charges of Child Molestation 1st Degree. One involved the sexual assault of a 9-year-old male when BELL was 17 years old. The second offense involved the sexual assault of a 6-year-old male when BELL was 14 years old. Both of the victims were known to BELL, but were not related to him. At the time the second offense came to the attention of authorities BELL was already in custody serving a sentence related to the first reported offense. As a result of the second conviction BELL was sentenced to 68 months in prison. He was released on 07/25/05. He did not complete sex offender treatment while in prison. In 2007 BELL was convicted of Not Properly Registering as a Sex Offender and is under Department of Corrections supervision related to this last conviction. Based on the type of sex crimes involved BELL has been identified as a risk to the community and this notification is required. |
