| Narrative: | The Brooksville Police Department Patrol Division reports that a unit was dispatched to Walmart reference a suspect from an earlier retail theft was back in the store. Upon arrival the officer was advised that Stephen L. Rokta was a suspect in a grand theft that occurred on 09/21/12 and was in the store. As the officer and loss prevention tried to locate him he was observed leaving the store. The officer attempted to stop Rokta but he fled the parking lot on a bicycle. Responding units located Rokta a short distance away near Lowes. Upon viewing the store surveillance video Rokta was wearing the same clothing he was wearing the night of the theft. Rokta was taken into custody and charged with retail grand theft and resisting arrest without violence. Rokta was held at the Hernando County Jail under a $2,500.00 total bond. |
