| Comments: | According to official documents Vanderpool pled guilty on 10/10/2005 in Walla Walla County Superior Court to three counts of Residential Burglary with Sexual Motivation and one count of Voyeurism. He was sentenced to 20 months in prison per count for counts one through three to be served concurrently. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison for count four also to be served concurrent with counts one through three. This sentence was suspended and Vanderpool was granted a Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative. He was sentenced to 90 days in custody in the county jail. From 08/11/2003 to 02/11/2004 there were 15 incidents in Walla Walla where Vanderpool was suspected of attempting to enter or entering residences, watching victims and masturbating. In some cases he would stand outside residences, look in through windows and watch victims as he masturbated. In one case he had followed the victim from a business to the Walla Walla Police Department. Vanderpool admitted to 11 of the 15 incidents. In all but two of the incidents that he admitted to, he had been confronted by a victim or witness during the offence. He admitted to two incidents where no police report had been made. Vanderpool had entered one residence and masturbated while watching a couple sleeping. In the other he had looked into a window and masturbated while watching a female. of the victims were known to Vanderpool and the youngest victim was a 16 year old female. Vanderpool was originally charged with four counts of voyeurism, four counts of Residential Burglary with Sexual Motivation and one count of Attempted Residential Burglary with Sexual Motivation. Through a plea agreement Vanderpool pled guilty to the above listed charges. Vanderpool pled guilty in Marysville Municipal Court on 11/20/2001 to one count of Indecent Exposure. Vanderpool was found masturbating, exposing himself to an employee at an espresso stand. At the time Vanderpool admitted to the same activities at the espresso stand on two other occasions and one occasion at a business in the Everett area. Vanderpool has admitted to similar offense behaviors occurring since he was 14 years old and has admitted to more than 200 victims. His last convictions were after having participated in sex offender treatment, after the Marysville conviction. Vanderpool is not active supervision and his only requirement is to regsiter as a sex offender. |
