Personal Details

Date of birth: Dec 21, 1964

Probable cause affidavit: SUBMITTED BY: VICK, BRYAN 0684 (2012-725AR) did knowingly, willfully and feloniously be in the actual or constructive possession of a controlled substance, to-wit: COCAINE, in violation of Florida Statutes 893.13(6)(A). ON 041212 AT APPROXIMATELY 2150 HOURS WHILE ON PATROL IN THE AREA OF US HIGHWAY 19 AND WEST CARDINAL STREET I OBSERVED A BLUE VAN TRAVELLING WEST ON CARDINAL STREET THEN TURNING NORTH ON HWY 19. WHILE TRAVELLING DOWN HWY 19 I OBSERVED the RIGHT SIDE TIRES OF THE VAN TO COMPLETELY CROSS OVER THE FOG LINE TWICE. I THEN ACTIVATED MY OVERHEAD LIGHTS AND INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP ON HWY 19 JUST SOUTH OF OAK RIDGE DRIVE. I MADE CONTACT WITH THE DRIVER, MS TAMARA VAUGHN, WHO PROVIDED ME WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF HER FLORIDA DRIVER’S LICENSE. WHILE ISSUING THE DEFENDANT A WRITTEN WARNING DEPUTY RITLI ARRIVED AS BACKUP AND DEPLOYED CANINE AJAX FOR AN EXTERIOR SNIFF OF THE VEHICLE. DEPUTY RITLI THEN ADVISED ME THAT CANINE AJAX POSITIVELY ALERTED TO THE PRESENCE OF NARCOTICS. THE DRIVER/DEFENDANT MS TAMARA VAUGHN AND HER PASSENGER, MS TARA HERRING, WERE BOTH REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE AND SEARCHED. WHILE SEARCHING THE VEHICLE I DID LOCATE A 305 CIGARETTE PACKAGE WHICH WAS STUCK IN the TOP OF THE DRIVER/DEFENDANT’S PURSE. INSIDE OF THE CIGARETTE PACK I LOCATED TWO SMALL WHITE ROCKS WHICH I RECOGNIZED THROUGH MY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE TO BE CRACK COCAINE. THEY WERE FIELD TESTED and DID TEST POSITIVE FOR THE PRESENCE OF COCAINE. THE DEFENDANT DID ADVISE THAT, THAT WAS HER PURSE; HOWEVER, DENIED KNOWLEDGE AND OWNERSHIP OF THE COCAINE. THE DEFENDANT STATED THAT she DOES NOT SMOKE 305 CIGARETTES; HOWEVER, WHILE SEARCHING THE VEHICLE I LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 15 EMPTY 305 CIGARETTE PACKAGES. the DEFENDANT WAS THEN HANDCUFFED (DOUBLE LOCKED) AND PLACED IN the REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE. ADAM’S TOWING DID RESPOND TO the SCENE and TOWED the DEFENDANT’S VEHICLE. DEPUTY RITLI COMPLETED A TOW SHEET TO BE SUBMITTED TO RECORDS. THE VEHICLE’S PASSENGER, MS TARA HERRING, WAS RELEASED FROM the SCENE and A FIELD INTERVIEW REPORT WAS COMPLETED. THE DEFENDANT WAS ISSUED WARNING CITATION NUMBER 328606B, FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN A SINGLE LANE. THE DEFENDANT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY WHERE SHE WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT POSSESSION OF COCAINE. HER BOND WAS SET AT $5,000.00, PER the BOND SCHEDULE. THE COCAINE WAS WEIGHED WITH AN APPROXIMATE WEIGHT OF .5 GRAMS. THE COCAINE WAS PACKAGED AND SUBMITTED TO EVIDENCE.
