Probable cause affidavit: SUBMITTED BY: RODRIGUEZ, MARCIAL 0301 (AR10118040) DID UNLAWFULLY AND KNOWINGLY OBTAIN OR USE, OR ENDEAVOR TO OBTAIN OR USE THE PROPERTY OF THE VICTIM, WAL-MART, TO WIT: HAIR COLOR, HAIR ACCESSORIES, BRAS, PANTIES, SOCKS, PAJAMA PANTS AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEM, SAID PROPERTY BEING OF A VALUE OF $118.20 WITH THE INTENT TO EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEPRIVE THE VICTIM OF A RIGHT TO THE PROPERTY OR A BENEFIT THEREOF, OR DID APPROPRIATE THE SAID PROPERTY TO THEIR OWN USE OR THE USE OF ANY PERSON NOT ENTITLED THERETO, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA'S STATE STATUTES 812.014(3)(a). ON 112110 AT APPROXIMATELY 1935 HOURS, I ARRIVED AT WAL-MART SUPERCENTER LOCATED AT 2461 EAST GULF TO LAKE HIGHWAY IN INVERNESS IN REFERENCE TO TWO ADULT FEMALES BEING DETAINED FOR SHOPLIFTING. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE COMPLAINANT, MR DALE WILLIAMS, WHO ADVISED THAT HE WITNESSED BOTH OF THE DEFENDANTS, MS TARA NICOLE COOPER AND MS CANDICE LEE BOND, SELECTING VARIOUS ITEMS from the WOMEN'S DEPARTMENT, AND THEN PROCEED TO the SEASONAL SECTION, CONCEALING THE ITEMS THEY HAD SELECTED INTO A LARGE PRINT BAG. THEY THEN PROCEEDED TOWARDS THE EXIT PASSING ALL POINTS OF SALE WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE ITEMS. MR WILLIAMS ADVISED THAT HE MADE CONTACT WITH the DEFENDANTS AND DETAINED THEM UNTIL LAW ENFORCEMENT ARRIVAL. MR WILLIAMS THEN SHOWED ME THE ITEMS WHICH HE RECOVERED FROM THE DEFENDANT. THE ITEMS WERE THREE BOXES OF HAIR COLOR, TWO PACKAGES OF HAIR ACCESSORIES, FOUR BRAS, ONE BRA SET, TWO SETS OF PANTIES, A PACK OF SOCKS, A PAIR OF SLEEPING PANTS AND ANOTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEM. THE COMPLAINANT ADVISED THESE ITEMS TOTALED $118.20. MR WILLIAMS ALSO PROVIDED A REGISTER RECEIPT SHOWING THE VALUES. I THEN SPOKE WITH BOTH DEFENDANTS; THEY WERE READ MIRANDA VIA PREPRINTED CARD. BOTH STATED THAT THEY UNDERSTOOD THEIR RIGHTS AND AGREED TO SPEAK WITH ME. BOTH THE DEFENDANTS STATED THAT THEY WERE GUILTY AND DID NOT DENY THE ALLEGATIONS. DEFENDANT TWO MS CANDICE BOND STATED THAT SHE HAD HER TWO CHILDREN WITH A FRIEND OUTSIDE THE STORE AGES TWO YEARS OLD AND FOUR MONTHS OLD. DUE TO MS CANDICE BOND HAVING HER CHILDREN, SHE WAS ISSUED A NOTICE TO APPEAR NUMBER 17333 WITH A MANDATORY COURT DATE OF 120910 AT 1300 HOURS AT THE CITRUS COUNTY COURTHOUSE FOR ONE COUNT OF RETAIL PETIT THEFT. DEFENDANT ONE, MS TARA COOPER, WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST, CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF RETAIL PETIT THEFT, HANDCUFFED, BEHIND HER BACK, (DOUBLE LOCKED), SECURED IN THE REAR OF MY PATROL VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING AND PROCESSING. THE DEFENDANT ONE'S BOND WAS SET AT $250.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. THE STOLEN ITEMS WERE PHOTOGRAPHED AND RETURNED TO WAL-MART FOR STOCK.
