\tSUBMITTED BY: ELMORE, PATRICK 1775/3948 (AR16-22108) \tdid, knowing HIS/HER driver's license or driving privilege had been cancelled, suspended or revoked AS A HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER, drive a motor vehicle upon the highways of this state while such license or privilege was cancelled, in violation of Florida Statute 322.34(5). \t On 123016 at approximately 2320, i, Tpr P. Elmore Id number 1755/3948, was on routine patrol in the area SOUTH SUNCOAST BOULEVARD AND WEST YULEE DRIVE, IN HOMOSASSA, when I observed a white sedan bearing Florida LICENSE PLATE number 782VBH in the outside lane. While driving next to the vehicle, I observed that the LICENSE PLATE on the vehicle expired 07/14/2015. AT THAT TIME, I initiated a traffic stop. At approximately 2322, I made contact with the driveR/DEFENDANT, MS Tiffany Herndon, (IDENTIFIED by her Florida identification card) and advised her that I was stopping her for an expired Florida Tag. WHEN ASKED for her DRIVER'S LICENSE, Registration, and proof of insurance, THE DEFENDANT advised me that the vehicle did not have valid insurance and that she did not have a valid Florida Driver License. I then returned to my marked patrol car where I ran THE DEFENDANT through FCIC/NCIC along with DRIVER AND VEHICLE INFORMATION DATABASE and found that she had FOUR previous convictionS for driving with a license suspended/revoked and that she was Habitual traffic offender. Also while checking the status of THE DEFENDANTâS driver license I observed a Florida Authorities Seize LICENSE PLATE, at which time I did. AT APPROXIMATELY 2337, I HAD THE DEFENDANT step out of the vehicle and placed her under arrest for driving with a license suspended/ revoked, with knowledge, habitual. THE DEFENDANT was handcuffed, behind her back, and double locked. THE DEFENDANT was placed into the back seat of my marked patrol car AND WAS transported to the Citrus County CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY, without incident, AND CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED, HABITUAL OFFENDER. While en route to the CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY, THE DEFENDANT informed me that she did not usually drive AND that she was only headed to Burger King to get her son chicken nuggets. The vehicle was towed by Adam's towing. THE DEFENDANTâS BOND WAS SET AT $2,000.00, PER THE BOND SCHEDULE. |
