| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents Gamel was convicted on 01/21/1997 of one count of Rape of a Child 1st degree and one count of Child Molestation 1st degree. He was sentenced to 67 months in prison. The conviction resulted from two separate offenses with two victims within a two day time frame. The rape conviction occurred when Gamel had sexual intercourse with a known 13 year old girl. The molestation charge occurred when Gamel had sexual intercourse with a known 11 year old girl two days later. There was one additional 15 year old known female victim, however, charges were never filed regarding this victim. Gamel had 12 major infractions while in prison and of those were sexually related. He did not participate in sex offender treatment while in prison on this conviction. He did attend treatment after his conviction of Fail to Register in which he was given a sentence of 43 months and released in 2010. Gamel is being supervised out of the Department of Corrections, Everett Office and has 36 months of community custody supervision. He has the following conditions: Do not date women nor form relationships with families who have minor children, as directed by CCO Do not frequent areas where minor children are known to congregate, as defined by CCO Do not remain overnight in a residence where minor children live or are spending the night Do not seek employment or volunteer positions which place you in contact with or control over minor children No contact with minor children without the presence of an adult who is knowledgeable of the offense and has been approved by the supervising Community Corrections Officer No contact, direct or indirect with the victims for 10 years Participate in offense related counseling programs, to include DOC sponsored offender groups, as directed by CCO Participate in urinalysis, breathalyzer, polygraph and plethysmographs examinations as directed by CCO Residence, living arrangements and employment must be approved by CCO |
