| Comments: | LYNUM, Timothy J. In 2002, Lynum was convicted of Rape 3rd Degree, Possessing Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct, and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, in Pierce County. Count I: According to official documents, on 01/21/01, Lynum approached a 16-year-old female at a mall and asked if she would be interested in modeling for him. The victim and her friend were driven to Lynum's apartment, where he sexually assaulted her. Count II: This same day, Lynum offered a 19-year-old female $120 to do some modeling for him. The victim agreed and went to Lynum's apartment. After taking some pictures of the victim, he sexually assaulted her. Count III: In May 2000, Lynum approached an unknown 16-year-old female at a bus stop. He asked if she would be interested in modeling for him, and she agreed. On the way to Lynum's apartment, the victim changed her mind and attempted to get out of the car. However, Lynum locked the doors and wouldn't let her leave. Lynum eventually dragged her into the apartment by her hair and made her undress at gunpoint. Lynum then sexually assaulted the victim. Counts IV, V, and VI: During the issuance of a search warrant at Lynum's residence, law enforcement found pictures of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Count VII: In August 2000, Lynum asked a 15-year-old female to pose nude for photographs. After Lynum's arrest and subsequent media coverage, additional women came forward reporting that Lynum had sexually assaulted them. It does not appear that Lynum was charged for these offenses. Lynum completed sexual deviancy treatment while incarcerated. Lynum served his maximum sentence; and therefore, he will not be supervised by the Washington State Department of Corrections. His only requirement is to register with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. |
