| Comments: | In 2000, Nichols pled guilty to two counts of Rape and one count of Kidnap in the first degree in Blaine County, Idaho. According to official documents, in 1999, a 19 year old female reported being raped by a male later identified as Nichols. Nichols met the victim earlier during the day for the first time. He went out drinking that night and ended up staying at a friend's house where the victim was at also. While the victim was sleeping, Nichols attempted at first touching the victim and when she told him "no" he choked her by the neck until she passed out. The victim stated that the next thing she remembered was being dragged out to Nichols' truck. He drove the victim to a cabin where he sexually assaulted her. He later drove the victim back to the residence where she was initially. For this crime, Nichols was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. In 1994, a 16 year old victim reported that she was sexually assaulted by Nichols who was 22 years old. Nichols met the victim at a birthday party and purchased her and her friends alcoholic drinks. The victim passed out after having a few drinks and woke up to Nichols having sex with her. Nichols was tried and found NOT guilty of second degree rape in 1995. While incarcerated in Idaho, the courts did not order Nichols to participate in the sex offender treatment program.
