| Narrative: | On the above date and time, an officer of the Brooksville Police Department was conducting a security check at 501 N. Broad Street. The officer observed a white male subject in the parking lot, later identified as William Lacerda, making rude gestures and yelling profanity. Lacerda, who was extremely intoxicated, then walked across Broad Street and approached the officer who was sitting in his patrol car. Lacerda began cursing at the officer. The officer told Lacerda several times to go back across the street but he refused. Lacerda’s girlfriend advised the officer that Lacerda dislikes the police and that he was just drunk. Lacerda continued his actions despite warnings to cease given by the officer. These actions got the attention of several people in the parking lot of the bar across the street. Lacerda was then placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail where he was charged with disorderly intoxication. He is being held on $150.00 bond. |
