Probable cause affidavit: | SUBMITTED BY DETECTIVE ED BLAIR â COMMUNITY CRIMES UNIT ON 9/17/12, DEPUTY BOLTZ RESPONDED TO 9955 SOUTH APPALOOSA AVENUE IN FLORAL CITY IN REFERENCE TO A BURGLARY UPON ARRIVAL HE MADE CONTACT WITH THE VICTIM, MR. CLARENCE GREEN, WHO STATED THAT ON THE MORNING OF 091712, HE RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL FROM HIS SON, MR. NUBY GREEN, STATING THAT HIS SISTER/DEFENDANT, MS WILLIEMAE FIELDS, TOLD NUBY THAT HER SON/CO-DEFENDANT, MR.. CHRISTOPHER SCOTT, HAD CUT A LOCK ON the TRAILER THAT CONTAINED INSTRUMENTS AND STOLE MULTIPLE ITEMS FROM MR. GREEN. MR. GREEN WENT TO THE TRAILER AND OBSERVED A CUT LOCK. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION OF THE INTERIOR OF THE TRAILER, MR. GREEN OBSERVED TWO GUITARS AND TWO BANJOS MISSING. MR. GREEN ADVISED HE THEN FOUND ANOTHER LOCK AND RE-SECURED HIS TRAILER. UPON RETURNING INSIDE THE RESIDENCE, MR. GREEN CHECKED ON THE REMAINING INSTRUMENTS HE HAD LOCATED IN HIS RESIDENCE. MR. GREEN STATED THAT HE FOUND ONE GUITAR MISSING OUT OF CHRISTOPHERâS ROOM THAT HE FREQUENTLY STAYED IN. MR. GREEN STATED THAT HE KEPT THE GUITAR LOCATED BETWEEN THE BED AND THE WALL. THE VICTIM AND DEPUTY BOLTZ CONDUCTED A CHECK THROUGHOUT THE RESIDENCE AND FOUND THE RESIDENCE TO BE SECURE WITH NO ADDITIONAL MISSING ITEMS. THE VICTIM AND DEPUTY BOLTZ THEN GAINED ACCESS to the TRAILER WITH THE MISSING ITEMS. MR. GREEN DESCRIBED THE ITEMS TO BE JUST INSIDE THE INTERIOR OF THE DOOR WHERE THE LOCK WAS CUT. WHILE OBSERVING THE TRAILER, MR. GREEN RECEIVED ANOTHER TELEPHONE CALL FROM NUBY WITH WHOM DEPUTY BOLTZ SPOKE. NUBY STATED WILLIE MAE FIELDS TOLD HIM THAT CHRISTOPHER HAD TAKEN THE INSTRUMENTS AND PAWNED THEM AT A PAWN SHOP IN BROOKSVILLE POSSIBLY NAMED ALL AMERICAN PAWN. WILLIE MAE FIELDS ALSO TOLD NUBY THAT CHRISTOPHER ADVISED HER THAT HE HAD JUST RECEIVED $5,000.00 FROM HIS BOSS MR. DAVID NEIGHBORS. MR. GREEN SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT NO ONE WAS GRANTED ACCESS to the TRAILER OTHER THAN HIM AND HIS WIFE. MR. GREEN ALSO STATED that DUE TO HEALTH REASONS, HIS WIFE IS UNABLE TO LEAVE THE RESIDENCE AT ANY TIME. THIS DETECTIVE INTERVIEWED WILLIE MAE FIELDS, THE CO-DEFENDANTâS MOTHER. SHE ADVISED HER SON HAD PAWNED THE GUITARS AT THE AMERICAN TRADING POST IN CRYSTAL RIVER TO A MAN KNOWN TO HER AS âMIKEâ. THIS DETECTIVE MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT AT HIS RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 502 SOUTH JEFFERSON STREET IN BEVERLY HILLS. THE DEFENDANT ADMITTED HE KNEW THE GUITARS WERE SOLD AT THE AMERICAN TRADING POST IN CRYSTAL RIVER. cHRISTOPHER SCOTT ADVISED IT WAS HIS MOTHERS IDEA TO TAKE THE GUITARS AND SELL THEM FOR MONEY. THE CHRISTOPHER SCOTT ADMITTED TO CONDUCTING THE TRANSACTION WITH âMIKEâ AT THE CIRCLE K GAS STATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF CR486 AND CR491. THE DEFENDANT STATED HE GAVE THE $1,600 received FROM THE TRANSACTION TO HIS MOTHER WHO DID NOT PROVIDE HIM WITH ANY OF THE PROFIT. WITH the ABOVE LISTED INFORMATION, THIS DETECTIVE MADE CONTACT WITH dETECTIVE BRIAN COLEMAN, WHO WAS familiar WITH THE PAWN SHOP AND THE EMPLOYEE âMIKEâ. dETECTIVE COLEMAN SPOKE WITH MIKE SCHOMMER REGARDING THIS CASE. MR. SCHOMMER ADVISED HE RECALLED PURCHASING THE GUITARS FROM CHRISTOPHER SCOTT AND WILLIE MAE FIELDS. THE GUITARS MATCHED THAT OF THE GUITARS STOLEN FROM THE RESIDENCE. MR. SCHOMMER PURCHASED THE GUITARS AS A PRIVATE DEALER FOR $1,600. MR. SCHOMMER RECALLED WILLIE MAE FIELDS STATING THE GUITARS WERE HER DEAD FATHERâS AND THEY WISHED TO SELL THE GUITARS. THIS DETECTIVE CONDUCTED A FOLLOW INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTOPHER SCOTT AT HIS RESIDENCE. DURING THIS INTERVIEW, THE DEFENDANT ADMITTED TO CUTTING THE LOCK ON THE TRAILER AND TAKING ONE OF THE GUITARS. HE STATED THE OTHER GUITAR WAS TAKEN BY HIS MOTHER FROM INSIDE THE RESIDENCE. THE DEFENDANT WAS ADVISED THIS DETECTIVE WOULD CONTACT THE VICTIM IN THE CASE TO SEE IF HE WISHED TO PURSUE CRIMINAL CHARGES IN THE CASE. tHIS DETECTIVE CONDUCTED A FOLLOW UP INTERVIEW WITH WILIE MAE FIELDS AT HER RESIDENCE. DURING THIS INTERVIEW, WILLIE MAE FIELDS ADMITTED TO THE FACT SHE WAS AT THE PAWN SHOP WITH HER SON TO SELL THE GUITARS. FURTHERMORE, SHE ADMITTED TO TELLING mR. sCHOMMER THE GUITARS WERE HER DEAD FATHERâS. ON 10/15/12, THIS DETECTIVE SPOKE WITH THE VICTIM IN THIS CASE. AT THAT TIME HE STATED HE STILL WISHED TO PURSUE CRIMINAL CHARGES IN THIS CASE. THIS DETECTIVE THEN MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT AT HER RESIDENCE. WILLIE MAE FIELDS WAS ADVISED SHE WAS UNDER ARREST FOR DEALING IN STOLEN PROPERTY AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR BOOKING WHERE HER BOND WAS (ror), RELEASE ON HER OWN RECOGNIZANCE. |
